Secret Place of Praise Incorporated (SPP) was birthed in March 2012 under the leadership of Pastor Tiffany A. & Bro. Lorenzo Morrast in their home. The name derives from Psalms 91 a scripture that has grounded SPP; a promised word, assuring our future and increasing our faith. God not only gave us a name but established our first service.

In being obedient to the voice of the Lord we began with a Thursday night bible study. Teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ; encouraging the study of the word of God is our foundation. Our Mission/ Vision Statement is “Seeing Souls Saved, Lives Changed and Minds Renewed.” After the first year, we not only watched our ministry grow but in June of 2013 we celebrated our first Sunday Morning Worship Experience at 9 am!

Pressed by the leading of the Holy Ghost and the growth of the ministry we moved to a new location in Newark, NJ; Covid hit but God’s grace prevailed. We are living in a new norm which has called for believers to draw closer to the Lord. Virtual worship has reminded us to go out into the hedges and highways compelling men to be saved. SPP continues to evoke God’s love, grace, and unmeasurable favor for those who trust him.

We not only desire to feed man spiritually but naturally as well; each month our Outreach Ministry feeds the homeless and less fortunate. We also have a weekly Wednesday Wellness Check which is a call to those in need near and far. It’s an honor to be a blessing to God’s people; we’ve given to displaced families in Guatemala and supplies to both the school and church of The Resurgence ministry in Liberia. Here at home, throughout the year, we give to a local children’s hospital.

God has given SPP a call to those that are unchurched, backslidden and downhearted; we look forward to continuing to Build a Better You!
