Pastor Tiffany Antoinette Morrast, born and raised in Newark N.J., now residing in Plainfield is a mother, teacher and wife. She was brought up in the Pentecostal Church and says, “being raised in church all of my life has taught me how to welcome, acknowledge and be sensitive to the move of God.” From her early teens she began serving in church holding the positions of usher, nurse and choir director to the worship leader of Joy Tabernacle Church of God under the leadership of the late Pastor and Overseer Josephine Byrd. During one of their Friday night shut in services is where she heard the call of the Lord to preach the gospel! Continuing to work in ministry, serving as an Assistant to her mother the late Pastor Jessie T. Sales of Praise Tabernacle Church of God in Newark: through her guidance and teaching in 1996 Pastor Tiffany received her Ministers License by the presiding Bishop John W. Mills of Tabernacle Church of God.
Several years later she met and married Bro. L. Morrast; from their union there are 6 children and 3 grandchildren. In 2005 the family began to worship at Unity Baptist Church in Orange, NJ; here in UBC under the Reverend James Holcomb she subserved on the ministerial staff, taking course in Leadership Classes and Homiletic Lab. After “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth,” she shared with her Pastor the call on her life and was ordained Reverend Morrast in 2006. In March of 2012 she answered the call and began Pastoring Secret Place of Praise Inc.!
One of Pastor’s favorite scripture is Psalms 24:9-10 “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah” knowing this encourages and keeps her motivated always striving to applying the motto of “Building a Better You!”
